Eindhoven, The Netherlands, July 18, 2016 – Bill Stephenson, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Executive Board of DLL, has been named to the Leasing Life Power 50, an annual list of the most influential people in asset finance.

The fourth edition of the Leasing Life Power 50 received more input than any previous year, with nearly 1,100 people casting votes over a two-week voting period. Readers and non-readers alike were asked to vote for five to ten people they believe are the most influential people in the European leasing industry. The 50 people who gathered the most votes made the list.

“I am proud to share this recognition with the other Power 50 honorees who have dedicated their careers to advancing the equipment finance industry,” says Stephenson. "I am also grateful to Leasing Life for helping further the agenda of our industry and ensuring others recognize the tremendous enabling role we all play in both the economy and business world."

Since joining DLL in 1987, Stephenson has served the company in several leadership positions and played an integral role in the emergence of DLL as a global market leader within the vendor finance and equipment leasing industry. He is a strong advocate for corporate social responsibility and a frequent speaker at industry assemblies throughout the world. In the fall of 2015, he was appointed chairman of the board of directors of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA). Stephenson also received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2015 Leasing Life conference.
